Themes

Courage

The theme is courage because he has to face something he wasn't even planning to do and he is put under the test to find himself and believe that he can truly be the wizard everyone expects him to be in all the competition he has to undergo in this tournament thing.

When things don't go your way and your put under the spot light like Harry has been the whole time he's been attending Hogwarts. You have to make the decision to crumble under the pressure or stand and take the many challenges that face you. When you can stand and face all the trials and tribulation and curve balls of life and handle them the way Harry has then you can be labled as having courage under fire, because you have robbed yourself time and time again.

"You place too much importance on the so-called purity of blood! You fail to recognize that it matters not what someone is born, but what they grow to be!

Harry finds out that he's a wizard when he is invited to Hogwarts. As he attends there, his fourth year, he realizes he's grown up to be a more powerful wizard than what he was when he was born. It's not just being born with wizard blood, it's growing to be more powerful.

My Opinion

I really like all of JK Rawling's work. When I get to the end of a chapter, i don't want to stop because i'm so into it. They are very interesting books and I don't see why anybody wouldn't like them. She takes everything into detail and makes the book very adventurous.

Major Characters

Harry Potter is a fourteen-year-old hero. When he was a baby he warded off a curse from Voldermort who is the most powerful wizard. Because of this, he now has a lightening strike shape on his forhead. He is very famous for surviving even though he was then orphaned after Voldermort had killed his parents. He was dropped off by Hagrid at his Aunt and Uncle's house and they would not tolerate any magical talk in their house. They were very rude to Harry and one day Harry recieved a letter but his Uncle took it from him so they kept getting more and more letters everyday. He finally was able to read one and he was invited to Hogwarts school. He is very brave and courageous and he also gets in some trouble with his curiousness. In the Goblet of Fire, he is in his fourth year at Hogwarts and will have to face Voldermort for his first time since he was an infant.

Ron Weasley is Harry's best friend. He has five older brothers and a younger sister. All of his brothers have gone to Hogwarts. He isn't always or usually the center of attention because Harry usually is and he doesn't mind that at all. But Harry soon gets chosen as the triwizard champion and Ron gets mad. He ends up not talking to Harry for a while. Ron is always loyal to friends but it went a little too far. Rons father was highly ranked in the Ministry of Magic and his family is full of pure wizard blood. Ron is usually picked on by Malfoy because his father isn't as rich as his father is and most of his clothes are hand-me-downs. Other than that Ron is the humerous one of the three.

Hermione Granger is very smart and tries hard at everything. She's always studying and reading books to get ahead in class. Her teachers like her for her effort and for always following the rules. She doesn't always agree with Harry and Ron on what they want to do or the adventures they want to go on but she eventually goes along with them. She is very loyal to Harry in this book and stands by him on his decisions.
